How do credits work?
Production is metered in credits. A long-form video costs 10 credits and a Short costs 2 credits — that's the entire model. Each paid plan includes a monthly credit allowance; the free trial includes 6 one-time credits (about three Shorts).
Is there really a free plan?
Yes. The free trial gives you 6 credits with no credit card required, so you can watch Drift produce your first few Shorts end to end before deciding to pay.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel from your billing settings whenever you like. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your remaining credits until then.
What happens if I run out of credits mid-month?
Production pauses until your monthly reset or an upgrade — your queue and library stay exactly as they are. You can also buy a one-time 20-credit top-up for $29 on any paid plan.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly allowances don't roll over unless stated otherwise. The trial's 6 credits are a one-time total, not a monthly grant.
